American artist Kharon Clark was born in 1960 and is married with two children. Kharon's favourite and unusual mediums are Paint and Thread, as she told us...
I would sit in my room as a young teen, grounded of course in a time before TVs in kids' bedrooms. What to do...hum...draw, anything and everything.
Much later, as in 35 years or so, I discovered paint. I have no formal training and I cannot always get the feel of the picture out on the canvas with just paint. I love to sew but straight lines are not for me. So to enhance the image I thread paint the piece - layering thread over the paint then adding dimension by laying batting under the piece which gives it depth and texture.
I usually reserve the thrill of my work for the weekends as I have a week day job.
