Flinders Shell Study #2 by
Linda Weil
Once or twice a year I head out to spend a week on windswept Flinders Island in the Roaring 40’s – I revel in the isolated beaches and fantastic birdlife. Every morning is spent ‘beachcombing’ and I never come away from the trip with out a drawing or six!
Using soft watercolour washes as a base, this work is build up using Staedtler Mars Karat Aqurelle color pencils and carbon/graphite pencils. It is only a small work, but one of my very favourites.
