Bindweed and Hoverfly by Mike Sibley
This drawing was produced for a "Negative Drawing" workshop that I ran at WetCanvas!, as it demonstrates the three major forms of the technique.
The composition arose after a walk down our lane where I found an abundance of Bindweed (or Convulvulus - my favourite weed!) and Hoverflies feeding on the nectar. They are not wasps! but harmless flies dressed like wasps for safety. The original drawing took about 35 hours to complete and may be for sale at some future date. | ||||||
