The longer I paint the more accustomed I am to watching my work unfold. Sometimes this doesn't happen smoothly. There are times when I have to take a step back and walk away from the canvas until I allow it to speak to me. The harder I tried to paint, the worse things got. I not only needed to walk away from Jesse but also from the time and place where my life was. For the past few months I have not been in a good place. Getting rid of negativity and getting out of a unrewarding relationship and refocusing my energy was exactly what I needed. Jesse fell into place. Upon viewing Jesse you will notice his detail.
