Czech artist Petr Kordik was born in 1979 and has been drawing seriously since 1994.  Petr, who prefers to work in coloured pencils, told us...

I have been drawing since I was born, my parents have always supported me although I often used walls of our flat and sometimes even the furniture instead of paper.

I attended the art school for a couple of years but had to give up later. I returned back to serious drawing as I was finishing my high school because I wanted to study English and Fine Arts at the college. However, I was not lucky enough to pass the entrance exams, so drawing has remained as a mere hobby to me. Nevertheless I do not really mind as I can feel absolutely free about the things I am doing.

I have always been fascinated by black and white photography taken especially in the streets of various towns. The atmosphere of the photographs inspires me a lot - and Paris has always been special to me. Besides this, I am keen on female portraits and nudes both black and white and in colour as well.

It is my first time I am presenting my images on public. I hope you will like them.
